David Ló
pez is an audio production & technology professional with over 25 years of diverse experience.
As an Engineer, Consultant, Producer, DJ, Educator and Ableton Certified Trainer he’s always on the move. Early in his career he gained valuable experience as a roadie, drum technician, musician, DJ, stagehand and GA.
After studying Audio Technology at SAE he became a freelance engineer as well as staff engineer at Miami’s Audiovision Studios. Years later, he returned to SAE to teach recording arts & sciences as the Head Supervisor, and later Lead Instructor, of their Atlanta campus for over seven years.
You’ll always find David on the move developing his audio production business and providing a wide range of services like engineering, training, consulting and live audio production. David spends personal creative time in the studio too, composing and producing under his latest moniker, Didactic, with new music set for release this year. He also collaborates with, and produces for, other artists such as Manny Cortes, Lion Tafari & Lucas Miré.
David is a former Music Production and DJ Instructor for Scratch DJ Academy Atlanta and still DJ’s for Scratch Events from time to time. He’s also an affiliate of Academia MixMasters in Cali, Colombia, South America.
Under the moniker Didactic, he is a resident DJ for Atlanta-based production company and DJ collective, Captains of Revelry, where he also serves as Technical Production Manager. David also holds a monthly DJ residency at the esteemed MidCity Café in Midtown Atlanta.
